Hardest Habit-Play!!
* I guess it's no secret that this is currently the hardest habit to abide by. I joke with co-workers that I haven't slept since August, but in reality, it's the truth. The pressure to perform well as the newest addition to the Iron Horse team, I find it near impossible to juggle my responsibilities to my PE department, to my leadership class, to my administration, to my co-workers, not mention that amount of time I need to devote to my masters program, and most importantly husband, family, and friends. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work at such an amazing school and with such a dedicated staff, but I admit, I feel a twinge of jealousy for those who get to actually enjoy their weekends and time off.
Easiest Habit-Responsibility for one's own learning
* Those who know me, know that I am constantly seeking out new opportunities to expand my knowledge base. Whether it be attending a conference, seeking out an additional credential, adding a certification, or pursuing an advanced degree, I am rarely found sitting out doing nothing. An obsession that I hope will eventually go away once I have a family of my own, I love learning, I love going to school (even when I don't), and I love challenging myself to learn new things.

#1 Creating a blog
I'm right on top of that Rose! A brief shout out to my girl Christina Applegate in her movie Don't tell mom the babysitters dead. In the movie, Christina's character is told by her boss that when in the presence of others, even if she has no clue what is going on, what she is doing, and how she is going to do it, to always respond "I'm right on top of that Rose!" so that people would feel confident that she was getting the job done. Thanks to a fellow co-worker (what up Cicatelli!), I have spent the last few months running around school, juggling 50 billion things, with this beloved quote tattooed to my forehead in hopes that all would believe I had my stuff together. Not that I don't enjoy the challenge of adding yet another thing to my plate, but having been handed the challenge of taking on the blogsphere, my obvious response was "Sure, why not" (she says with a slight hint of sarcasm).
So here it is, the official start of school blog. Not quite sure how I feel about posting my inner thoughts for all to see, especially given recent media surrounding a teacher and her seemingly innocent blog, but who knows, maybe this is the start of relationship?!?
